Description

Mesquite honey is a light, silky, viscous honey produced from the creamy white blossoms of the mesquite tree growing across the southwest US and into northern Mexico. It is harvested in the springtime prior to the blossoms turning into long, tan, peapod seeds. A discerning palate may detect slight smoky notes, but this honey is sweet not smoky as the name association might suggest.
