Dutch Gold's Tupelo Honey is one of the most prized honeys in the world. Tupelo Honey is only produced in the panhandle of Florida or southern Georgia, where tupelo trees grow in the swamps and offer their delicate blossoms to the honey bees in May. To appreciate the extra effort required by a beekeeper to produce Tupelo Honey, watch "Ulee's Gold," starring Peter Fonda as a Florida beekeeper, struggling to make a honey crop while keeping his family together. Pure Tupelo Honey is one honey that will never crystallize. This is because the percentage of natural fructose (from the nectar of the tupelo blossoms) in Tupelo Honey is much higher than other honeys. This increase in fructose, allows the honey to remain in it's liquid state indefinitely.

Please check back with us again in July.
