Dutch Gold Honey only packs 100% pure, all natural honey. This means nothing is ever added to our honey. That being the case, people often question how the different "flavors" or varietals come about.

Honey varietals or "flavors" depend on the floral source the bees visit. For example, Blueberry honey is made from the nectar collected from Blueberry blossoms before they are cross pollinated and become the fruit we eat.

The color of the honey also varies depending on the floral source. Dutch Gold Honeys range from our light, delicate Alfalfa to our dark, bold Buckwheat. Typically, the darker the honey the bolder the flavor will be.
